Whalesburg Releases User-Friendly v0.3.0 Including ETH Support
After the major security upgrades implemented in v0.2.3 (released just last week), we are now pleased to release v0.3.0, which offers miners increased profitability and a more user-friendly interface.
ETH Mining and New Miner’s Distribution Algorithm
That’s right — the time has finally come: the opinion of Whalesburg miners is critical to our development process so in response to overwhelming demand from our community, we are excited to announce that ETH mining is now available!
With the release of ETH mining and an updated profit switching algorithm, Whalesburg miners now have an even greater opportunity to be more profitable. Miners now have the added reliability of mining ETH, which is often the most profitable coin. In addition — thanks to our new algorithm — miners can benefit from the increased profitability of mining other coins when the timing is right. The algorithm automatically monitors coins like PIRL, EXP, ETC and so on, then chooses to switch hashpower to them when (and only when) they become more profitable. Crucially, the algorithm designates precisely limited hashpower to the lower difficulty coins to ensure their difficulty is not increased. This is essential for enabling maximum profitability.
Shiny New Interface
We’re always working hard to make your user experience even better, so we’re happy to announce a new and improved interface that gives miners improved transparency and more options.

For example, now Whalesburg pool main page gives you an eye bird vision on how the entire platform performs that includes general numbers such as Total Pool Hashrate, Total Miners income, Number of connected miners etc:

Here, you can now easily see your day-to-day profits and mined blocks, keeping you up to date with your ongoing performance:
Top Miners Page
We’ve also added the Top Miners Page, which will give you an indication of how the most powerful miners are performing, including profits and statistics. Friendly competition is a great motivator, so we hope this new feature empowers everyone to reach even higher profitability!
Help Wizard
And last, but certainly not least, we’ve added an extremely useful help Wizard to set up your miners. Getting into mining doesn’t have to be a daunting experience. This top-level instructions wizard has been designed to help mining rookies get started smoothly, while making the job that much easier for seasoned experts. By using the Wizard, new miners will receive a complete menu with step-by-step instructions on how to get going, including how to configure operations for your mining rig.
Nicehash Compatibility
Another feature we’ve added in this release is NiceHash compatibility for our ETH pool. This means you can now rent mining power using NiceHash and have it sent to our ETH pool. This is important because, using NiceHash anyone can now test our product without actually having their own mining hardware. We’ll be implementing full NiceHash support in future releases, so please keep an eye out for that.
Open Source Libraries For Working With Exchanges
During the development process for this version, we also acquired and evolved two new open-source libraries in Ruby language that are used for working with exchanges. Here they are:

As a side note, our devs found some minor bugs in the PIRL blockchain while looking through the code. As Whalesburg is always looking to help the crypto-community, we’ve already notified the PIRL community and submitted a pull request to their repository, however Pirl developers have not still provided any feedback on our fix: https://github.com/pirl/pirl/pull/32
